I just got a Nextel 8350i and this thing is absolutely worthless in my house. I can only make calls upstairs and I still only have one bar. I had a Sprint phone previously and had no issues in my home.
I have a couple of questions:
Does this thing have UMA support? It doesn't appear that it does, but I can't seem to find anything definitive. WiFi is connected and works fine for data. Can I make WiFi calls with the 8350i?
If no UMA support - can anyone suggest a signal repeater/booster so I can actually use this thing where I make the majority of my calls...in the house!!
Ouch, well its a work phone so I'll check out my options when I head back into the office. I'm guessing there's not a tower real close to my house b/c I only get a couple bars if I step out of the house.
Carriers typically do not guarantee coverage inside buildings. That being said, CDMA devices seem to offer the best "inside" coverage, but it really depends on true carrier coverage.
