Default Yahoo Calendar

Please Login to Remove!

I don't think this has been asked before.

I want to add my yahoo account to BIS. I've done it before, and when I did it creates a second calendar on the device. Is there any way to have JUST the email portion linked, so that no calendar is added?

Just delete the CICAL service book for that account.
Yes it will appear if the service books are re-pushed, but its easy to delete.

It will only create a calendar with the name of the account, it won't populate with yahoo's calendar.

No. That's the way it works, a function of the OS.

I have deleted the cical of all of my non-default accts before with no issue unless there is something unique about the newer OS

There's nothing I know of wrt the OS. You guys are right. What I meant is there is no way to avoid the extra calendars short of doing what you all are doing, and as you say, the CICALs will be pushed back. For me, it's sort of like the damn download shortcuts that are pushed to us that we don't want; I just ignore and don't worry about it.

With 4.2, one of the workarounds established by RIM for a calendar glitch for invites was to remove all of the non default cical service books had to be removed in order for that feature to function properly. Thank you for your response
