Well, since you can't use BlackBerry service on either of those options, I vote for neither.

I don't believe you can unlock a CDMA VZW BB to use on GSM TMo even if they did offer the BB service on FlexPay...

Yes, you actually can. The Storm 9530 and Storm 2 9550 contain a SIM card slot and GSM/UMTS radios in addition to the CDMA radio. If unlocked, the devices can be used with GSM providers like T-Mobile. There are some workarounds that have to be performed to get the service books, but the devices work.

Never mind....

How is the coverage for you with either of those carriers? Price should not be the first consideration, coverage should be. No signal makes even the cheapest plan too expensive.

I vote for the cans and string, just make sure the string is long enough.

As mentioned above, your device will work for T-Mobile, but you will need to get a real plan in order to get BlackBerry service. The cheapest plan you can get is the $59.99 Even More Plus plan. There is no contract, but that's the minimum plan you need if you want BlackBerry. Once you have that, search the forums for information on how to get the service books for the 9530.

whoever said the blackberry storm 9530 cannot be used on T-mobiles network with the Flexpay plan (Even More Plus), you're super wrong...My blackberry storm is working great...they added the blackberry services and service books for me when I went and got it started...everything on the phone is working lovely...I couldnt take the chance of getting it flashed to Cricket, being that flashed phones have a lot of problems...but I'm glad I went this route and loving every minute of my blackberry!
