Default Hiding Pictures From Prying Eyes

Please Login to Remove!

Awhile back, I remember using a process I saw here in this site to hide photo files. The file would not show up when you opened the picture folder, but you had to use the "explore" option to access it. The problem is though, I stopped using it, so I just put everything back to normal (and I'm not too keen on keeping my phone locked all the time which is why this process was helpful).
Now, I need to utilize it again, but I can't remember how to do it. I've searched too, but havn't been able to locate it. If anyone could help me, I'd appreciate it.

Okay, now come on with the porn jokes.

Go into the picture Properties and check the box for 'Hidden'.

Yes. I searched around and didnt see a third party app for your request, especially for a 4.5 OS device

As I recall, it wasn't an app, but just a certain way you placed the files that allowed then to stay hidden until you go into explore.
Just to clarify also, I am not using it for porn, but at work as the union steward, I sometimes take pictures to help validate a grievance. Pictures are not allowed to be taken, and they can go into your personal property for "inspections". This way, my phone is unlocked but if they look at it, they don't see anything.

There is an option in Media, then scroll down to Exclude Folders. Just select that and then select the folders you wish to exclude from viewing. To view the folder contents yourself, you just go back to the Exclude Folders and remove the folder.

Thanks for all the help. I found what I was looking for because of it, and then a couple more ways to do it.

I still didn't get the porn jokes I was looking for though.

Now that's more like it.
Unfortunately though, my porn is limited to stick figures drawn on a notepad.

I was interested in your way, but I can't find that particular option on my device. There is no "exclude" in my list.

Start the Media applictaion, press the menu button, select Explore, browse to the directory where the picture is (maybe Media Card -> Blackberry -> Pictures). Press Menu, select Show Hidden.

The OP asked how to hide pictures, I think you should appologize to juwaack68 (on a couple of points).

First, to unhide a pic, when you are in the media file, hit the menu button then choose "show hidden". Your hidden pic should now be available for view.

The problem I'm having is now nothing is being hidden. I have the extra file in the explore menu, but the original files are still shown. I delete those files, but when I exit the media and come back, they're back. I see that I can hide individual pics, but not whole files like I use to be able to.
