What is this exactly? I am trying to buy an app from online, and it's requiring this. I have never even plugged in my BB to a computer, or bought an app b4 so I am really lost... I figured I'd DL the app and drop it on the miniSD and install it, but I guess that'd be too simple. I have tried to search the web and forums to find out how to get this magic ID and found nothing... any help much appreciated!

What application are you trying to obtain? Are you sure it is designed for BlackBerrys?

it's a weight watchers point calculator, and yes its for BB. I just have no idea what it's talking about. How do you usually add apps? I bought my BB for email, txting, and the hotspot@home feature as I have crappy signal in my house. So I have never done anything even slightly advanced with it like adding apps.

There are three ways to add applications:

1 - download them through the BlackBerry App World - if you don't have that installed, open the BlackBerry Browser and go to BlackBerry Wallpapers, Ringtones, and More and download it.

2 - download the application Over The Air (OTA), wireless. You have got to make sure you are downloading the right version of the applications for your model BlackBerry.

3 - through Desktop Manager. You download the application to your PC, and then load it to your BB through the Application Loader within Desktop Manager.

OTA is generally the easiest.

Again, make sure you are downloading the version of the app for the the device you have.
