You can tether your BB to your PC and it acts as a modem, but not over WiFi. Many carriers charge extra for a tether plan as well.

Please search on tether and also read the FAQ.

I tried Tetherberry, but it doesn't work over BIS/BES. To my knowledge, all thering works over tcp and requires apn settings of the carrier.

Why would anyone want to tether their PC to a BB connected through Wifi?

Solution: Connect the PC DIRECTLY to the Wifi network!

No, you tether your pc to a BB and use the carrier network.
