I was unsuccessful when I tried to sync my blackberry address book with my mac computer. So I downloaded the desktop manager, restarted my computer and suddenly I was asked for a blackberry password. I had no chance to backup my info. Where do I find this password. I'm really bad the tech stuff so I sometimes make a mess of things. Can anyone help me?

You don't know your password? You can't 'find' it anywhere... if you are on a BES, your BES Admin can reset it. Otherwise you're out of luck.

Thanks for the response, but the only password I ever used was four numbers I set after a friends kid decided to browse through my blackberry.
Anyway, when I tried it I only got letters. I used the alt button to force numbers but it didn't help. Please forgive me for being a tech idiot but where does this password come from.

Is this your personal device? If so, the only way it can have a password is if you set one. In that case, you should know the password.

If it's a company device on a BES, the BES admin can reset your password.

And please do not post the same question multiple times.

In regards to my password.
Yes, this is my personal device but I'm pretty sure I tried my personal password in one of my 9 tries. So before I make the fatal 10th attempt. Are you sure the only password is the one I gave it? I got my Blackberry 9000 last year for prolonging my contract with Vodafone. Please, If you'll get me through this I promise I'll take some time and learn how to use it.

Yes, the only password is the one you set.
