I originally had a sprint PCS 2700 that got some service (I to 2 bars) at where I live at, and if not it would switch to digital roam, in which I would get about 3 bars because of a close AT&T tower. I recently purchased the BB 8330 and got it home, and I get nothing, el zippo in the way of a signal, and it will not even go into digital roam. I do have my mobile networks set on automatic so it should use roam if necessary; it is not the phone because I exchange it with another one and the same problem, I feel if I could get it to roam, at least I could make calls on it. Sprint tech support was no help, telling me BBs don’t roam like other phones. The phone does work fine if I go into the city. Besides the obvious of buying a 200.00 to 300.00 booster, or switching carriers, is there anything I can to improve my situation.

This is a crappy situation, but a reality. Most carrier's offer a 30 day trial period for you to test it out if you want to switch.

Other than that, not much i can think off. and the down side to the booster is most of them are for data only, as far as I know, never used one.

The Sprint 8330 does roam, regardless of what they tell you.

The booster you *could* get is the sprint Airave, which is $99, and then $5/mo subscription (and for voice only, not data). Not ideal since you had service before and now you don't....
