I just got a storm 9530. I was just wondering if the charger of my old curve will work with the storm.

If the old charger is Mini-USB you will need an adapter (to Micro-USB).
I had a bunch of old ones around and bought the adapters on ebay for about $1 each.

You are (of course) 100% correct. The 9530 uses the new micro USB connector.
