Default Newbe Here: Tour or 8530 for My Wife

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

My wife wants a BB. We're currently on VZ and I'm thinking about getting her a Tour or 8530. What do you folks suggest? She would use it for light email, a fair amount of texting and light browsing.

Also, on VZ, is VZ Navigator included and part of the plan, or do I need to pay an additional fee for it?

Any suggestions would be appreciated...thanks!

VZ Nav is about $10 a month more. The BB dataplan for Internet and email is about $30 a month. Text is also extra.

As for which device, that is really a personal preference. Have her go to the VZW store and play with each and see which she likes. What I like with my phat phingers might not be what she is looking for.

+1 for going to a Verizon store and fondling (lovingly) both models. Your keyboard is your interface to the device and will be how you access almost all the programs. Even the slightest difference in keyboard style can change the user experience completely. No keyboard style is "better" that another. It's all personal preference, and an important one.
