Hi! I'm new to blackberry's so bare with me I had some issues with my curve working with the blackberry desktop software and an update of the software was suggested so I did it. Then it asked me to update the phone as well for them to work properly together which I did. I was a bit hesitant at first because I was afraid to lose all of my numbers etc but when I saw that it said it would back up all of my files I went ahead. Well here I am with my phone updated and my address book is empty! Anyone know how I would go about finding the files the program was supposed to backup for me to put back on the phone?? I went to restore, but saw nothing...Please Help!!!! I had over 260 numbers that were all entered manually by me in the phone (took 5 hours) and now I have no idea where they are

The file is an .ipd extension file. The easiest thing is to search for *.ipd on the entire drive. There are set locations where the files are normally saved, but if you let the pc do the work you don't have to try to find those folders

Thanks for the reply! I tried searching last night (lettting the computer do it) but came up empty handed. I'll have to try it again and have it search for files that may be hidden as well. I have quite a few of the contacts in Outlook, but for some reason it won't transfer them. I tell you! :(
