Thats not an error it's a file location on your PC. How are you deleting the program? Your are using the control panel \delete program to do this? Right!

The uninstall file thinks its in that folder, which it isn't, hence the error.
Download Desktop manager again, run it, it will then pop up asking to uninstall.
continue.

Like I said, download the software again.
If its in a folder, unzip it.
When it asks about that, point it to the Blackberry Desktop Software.msi that was unzip from the downloaded file.

You havent followed what I said.
Go to unistall desktop manager, like you have been doing.
When it comes up with the error, wanting to know where the "blackberry Desktop manager.msi" file is, you click browse and find the file you downloaded/unzipped.
Then continue.
It will then uninstall.

If you need uninstall it, try and download the microsoft installer cleanup utility.

Use the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility to remove Office 2000, Office XP, or Office 2003

That might help.

Ok, last time I downloaded it, it was a zip file.
Do as steveO suggests.

What happens when you install Desktop Manager 4.7 again?

(Can't say I've ever seen the MSI Cleanup tool not fix an issue like this.) Sorry for the double negative.

It almost seems like the unzip program is not on his pc or the PC os does not have it for some reason. My thought is all his applications are remote and not really local as the error message states.
I wonder if he uses a network server and his install used that for some of his locations.

But when installing new version, it overwrites old version, not install it twice.
