Default number of rings before message

Please Login to Remove!

I have a BB8900 and want to increase the number of times the phone rings before it diverts to the message service. Sometimes i cant get to the phone quick enough and it rings 3 or 4 times and then goes straight to my message service
Thanks

ATT is 4. You might try a rind tone that is either loud or something that will be noticed.
I use "Ring Ring" and by the end of the 4 ring time it is screaming very loud.

It is carrier dependent so depending on your carrier, you might be able to change it (or they might be able to change it for you). For example, on Rogers (in Canada) and Fido (in Canada), it isn't possible to change the number of rings before going to voice mail. It used to be possible to do this with Fido but they removed this ability.

I just checked with TELUS who also leave you stuck with just 3 rings which is so frustrating as I can never answer in that short a time frame. One rep suggested changing the ring tone to a longer one. However the call will still automatically go to voicemail after 18 seconds according to one rep, and after 28 seconds according to another. Both TELUS reps said no one had ever complained and yet I have seen a stack of people asking for this.
