Exclamation BB Bold 9000 Maps

Please Login to Remove!

I am new to this BB business.
My service provider is STC Saudi Arabia. I have a problem with the Maps application. Icon shows on the Home page, but when I click on it I get a message that says 'your device is not configured for BIS or BES. Please contact your service provider or system admin'.
What can I do to set this right?

Get a Blackberry Data Plan.

It amazes me how many BB's are sold without a Dataplan.

This question is almost a daily reacurrance as well.

I think it's mostly people who purchase them outright, stick their sim in them, then get confused as to why they will not work.

My BB does have a data plan from a provider in Saudi Arabia (STC-Saudi Telecom Company) & I do receive and send e-mails and all messengers working. It is only the BB maps & Facebook applications that are not working.

Try a battery pull and then resend the service books.

Perhaps your carrier has those apps blocked?
