Default PIN messages while phone is off?

hi there! i have a question on PIN messages...

- if the phone is turned off, will PIN messages still go through when the phone is turned on? in detail, let's say i turn my phone off and someone sends me a PIN message. will i receive it when i turn my phone back on?

Yes. PIN messages will queue just like SMS, e-mail, and voicemail.

One dirty trick I learned here is to turn off my phone, then PING a BBM contact 40 or 50 times. When I turn the phone back on the cued PINGs get sent in rapid fire style. The contact's BB starts to vibrate and chime like crazy.

Often a nasty message follows these shenanigans.

Hi,

Sorry but I am new, How do you ping a contact? Blank conversation? How do you tell who pinged you? I keep getting vibrates with no messages or notifications so I assume someone is pinging me or could this just be network testing? Confused?
