Default Can't save to Memory card!!! PLEASE HELP!

Please Login to Remove!

Hi there,

I recently (yesterday) bought a Sandisk 4GB microSD card for my Blackberry 8320. I'm having a problem, however, in storing media/appz on it. When I go to Options --> Media card, it says 3.6GB free and auto-enabled and mass support is on.

Yet, when I try to download an App or even transfer a music file to my phone using Blackberry Desktop manager --> it says "not enough disk space"

I'm running on Windows 7 Pro right now (dunno if there are any compatibility issues or if its even a factor?)

Please help!

You are probably trying to save it to the phone memory instead of the storage card.
Make sure that you have the Mass Storage mode set to on or prompt, and then you can find the storage card.

I went to Media Card and where it said When connected --> "prompt" I selected "Yes"

However, ditto. Its weird because I installed an app. yesterday and it worked fine, so I'm curious why it wouldn't go today?

Also, when connected to Desktop manager to add ringtones...my media card isn't displayed there. But shouldn't it be??

Not sure what your problem is, but I have always had good luck with Roxio Media manager for transferring/saving data. I always install Roxio along with any new DM I install. Never had a problem.

No idea myself.

I have a few appz on my curve - Scoremobile, BBM, Epocrates, Facebook, WeatherEye.

However, epocrates stores its files onto the microSD card. I know this because after posting I tried to re-format my microSD card and it stated that some Epocrates files were missing that were saved to the card - so now, I'm redownloading them again. Yet, its weird why Roxio doesn't detect my card. It just has the phone [Device memory].

You could do a google search on the problem and/or uninstall and reinstall DM and Roxio.

I just purchased AERIZE Card loader. It seems to work, but I am having a hard time finding the downloadable files where you can save them to the sd card and then install them. Not the OTA link. Aerize needs you to save it to the sd card and then it installs it from the card's memory, not your phones. It is quite a task to try and find a downloadable file for the app in question. I need to find facebook after I get ScoreMobile working.

Anyone out there that can help?

The media card must be formated by the Blackberry to work properly
