If i make a rule in outlook to redirect my emails to my personal email; do i have to always keep the primary machine working? meaning inorder to receive emails on my BB, i do have to keep the computer on which the outlook works on...?

It depends on where the rule is set. If it's on your personal computer/workstation, then yes, that machine must be running and processing mail to do the forward. If the rule is set at the server, then the local machine need not be running and processing mail.

IMO, redirecting email from Outlook to the BlackBerry is rarely the best route.

Jsanders, would you please let me know what the best route, and why in your opinion routing emails from outlook to blackberry is not the best way?

Well, I think your question was answered by fonejunky and JSanders. If you do not have access to your email server/ISP I see no way to do it. RIM pulls from the mail server, not from your PC/Outlook.

Yes, that's all I have to say. Your question has already been answered. I am just trying to help you. Bumping your posts after a few minutes, as well as other bad forum behavior won't help you get answers faster.

Be patient, you're not the only one on these forums with issues. We are all volunteers helping out where we can. Your issues are not a higher priority than the next guy/gal. They wait patiently and don't bump their threads every 30 minutes.

If BIS won't do it, I assume you're talking about work emails.

If your company does not see fit to let you access emails remotely, trying to circumvent that is not the smartest way. And yes, a good admin can tell.

Have your email pushed direct to the BlackBerry from the email server. You're paying for that service already if you have unlimited BlackBerry Data service.

And, to echo and reinforce what the others have said... you do have a bad habit of bumping your own posts after 15-30 minutes. Most forums would have you banned for that. We're fun, reasonable people in this forum.
