Default Blackberry Curve 8530 (Sprint)

I am a brand new Blackberry user. I just gave up my Palm Pre for a Blackberry Curve 8530. However, I am having issues with Gmail and IMAP. I understand there are a lot of posts regarding this issue but none of them seem to directly address my issue. If there is a thread which answers my question then I apologize in advance and please ask the person to direct me there.

I have set-up push Gmail on my new Blackberry. I went through all the settings for reconcile. The push works amazing. I get my emails instantly however it does not sync with the Gmail server. Essentially, if I delete an email in my Blackberry it will not show up in my Gmail account. If I delete an email in my email it will not show up on my Blackberry. However, I really want my Blackberry and Gmail to be uni-synchronized in both directions.

Since I want email on my phone I have set-up a temporary placement. I created a Blackberry email account. And I have requested Gmail to forward all my incoming email to the Blackberry email. The push works great! Now for the down part... the email can either be archived after forwarding or remain as an unread copy. I hate this part.

How do I make my Blackberry and Gmail synchronized in both directions? Please help - I have spent hours trying to diagnose the issue but no dice.

Thanks Community
