Default Blacklisted

I bought a cell phone from Ewireless and now I am back in Antigua.. My provider told me that I am blacklisted and won't be able to get online.. However, I can receive and send calls and texts.. What should I do. What is the sense of having a blackberry and can't use the service.

If you bought a blacklisted device you should return it. Call them and get the process started, and get email confirmation when they approve it.

It's really not a BlackBerry without a BlackBerry data plan. Might as well be a Motorola Q or a Nokia E71. Or whatever else. Until you can sort out the return of your 8520 you might get some limited use with this: How to use BlackBerry on Generic Data Plan - BlackBerryFAQ

Thanks Rambo47. I was so peeved yesterday. I called the company I bought from in Miami and they told me to return it. Have gotten phones from them before and no probles with the other blackberries. Is it a case where I can call Blackberry and ask them to remove the blacklist lol.. Guess i am asking tomuch. The phone as T-mobile on it. Should I call them.

They won't help you.
Return it.

A bit late, but this may help - http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.p...Berry_off_eBay

Ok... well I got so frustrated and I called Blackberry. He sees the phone is registered Tmobile and he says nothing else comes up and that means good news so far. He then told me to contact tmobile to see if the phone was reported lost or stolen (granted this is a new phone). Anyways he transferred me to tmobile and I spoke to a representative and she told me that the pin i gave her has no record of such. I called again just to make sure, spoke to someone different and they told me that the don't blacklist phones . And that I should check my service provider.

Return the phone as suggested above. Then go buy a new one from your carrier. Not worth the headaches.

Once a phone gets blacklisted it's darn near impossible to get it un-blacklisted. Neither RIM or the individual carriers will cooperate.
