Default Blackberry email questions

Please Login to Remove!

I am pretty new to Blackberry email and have a few questions.

1: I am using BIS and have set up a few email accounts, so I have a bunch of icons on my desktop (that take up a lot of space) Is there any way I can create a single folder and move these icons inside of it? I did find instructions for this but they did not work with my antiquated hardware.

2: If I forward all my mail to a single account (and just download from the one) what is the downside of this? If I do this, I am thinking I will be using the one SMTP server for the account I have set up (when I send messages) and if I am replying to messages (from a different account than the one I have set up) 'sent messages' might be blocked by the recipient (or their provider) if their provider is using SPF, or other similar spam fighting tools.

Basically I am wondering what is the best way to set up and use my BIS accounts....

Any feedback (or links to appropriate info) would be appreciated.

Many Thanks

David

Nope. Thats what the MESSAGES icon is for.
It catches ALL MAIL (of any kind), so you HIDE the individual folders.

You will only be able to reply with the email account you've setup in BIS.

All of your mail goes to the "Messages" folder as noted above.

As for outbound server, you do not use an ISP's outbound server, you use the carrier's outbound, hence there is no way to set up the outbound SMTP server, only the inbound.

As for advice on using BIS, have all of your accounts come in separately and when you reply, the same address is used for the outbound. If you need to change it, you can using the options menu (I have actually forgotten how to do that on the 8700 series though).
