| Believe it or not, i actually had the exact same problem at one point. I was given an old blackberry curve from a friend that was moving which i intended to wipe and reset for my personal use as a backup phone, only the phone had a password. I decided i was just going to type the password in wrong a million times to wipe it (which ended up working) but the Y key was also a little screwed up. I ended up getting it to work though. Anyway...
If you have all of your information backed up on your computer, just wipe the blackberry via typing in the password wrong and reload the thing. Also, this is the exact reason why i let nobody touch my phone
