Default United Airlines Ubertwitter Tinyurl Response

Please Login to Remove!

Twitter updates from United Airlines (UAL) provide Tinyurl links, however when I either "Get Link" or cut and paste the Tinyurl link in my BB browser I am forwarded to the UAL Mobile site url: ua.flightlookup.com instead of the intended UAL webpage. However, if I use Twitter on my PC and invoke the weblink it connects to the proper UAL webpage.

Does anyone know if this a UAL, Uberwitter, or Blackberry issue?

I have sent a @ reply to UAL (no response yet), and will do the same for Ubertwitter.

Thank you.

UAL replied:

"Many hndhlds srch 4 mobile sites rather than trad HTML sites, hence redirect to ua2go. We post "real" URL too occasionally, will do again."

Any way to "force" BB to use Tinyurl address rather than search and use "mobile" url?

Thanks!

Found the answer on Crackberry Forum:

For my 8830 go to browser options>config>Emulation> changed it from "Blackberry" to "Microsoft IE" and now it goes to Tinyurl instead of "mobile" site.
