Default The Quiet Option - 02-08-2010, 11:07 PM

Does the "Quiet" option affect just the phone, or would it stop the alarm also from ringing?

In other words, I want to turn off the phone at night, but leave on the alarm.

Thanks,
Neal

Wirelessly posted (8320 Titanium)

I use quiet mode at night on my 8320 and it still allows the alarm to ring. The only problem is actually getting up to the alarm

Same here I was concerned about that as well at first. If your worried, set an alarm for yourself in five minutes, put it to silent, and see if it rings for yourself. That's how I figured it out.

The alarm will even turn the BB on if you turn it off. Turn Power Off -> "Turn Off", but not I think from the "Full Power Off" but I could be wrong.

My other Blackberry is an Android.

Not quite sure what a full power off is, but if the device is turned off (via the power/end call key) the device will still turn on and ring at the scheduled alarm time.

If you use the power icon from the home screen you get those two options. Never used the other one. If I want all the power off i take the batter out.

My other Blackberry is an Android.

Using the quiet mode at night and it still allows the alarm to ring - which is desired.
However, REMINDERS also go off (ie: All day events, which if reminder is set will go off at midnight) . . . - which is not desired. Is there some setting I'm missing for this?
Thanks for any help.

Yep, bigbank. You can go into Profiles and select Quiet.

Then go into Profiles and select Advanced and Edit and find the setting for Calendar. Change that to NONE and it should stay silent and stop flashing a light in your face while you are trying to sleep.
