Default Bring in personal email account to work mobile

I've been given a BB 8900 by work which has their email system on it which updates wirelessly to the server.

I have brought in my own personal email address also but it's not downloading messages?

I did this via the BIS but my IT Manager informs me that I have to manually set up my own personal email account details within the 8900?

Does anybody know how you do this? Is this correct?

Are you on BES?

BIS via the web and BIS via the device is the same, unless they have an IT Policy changing the procedure.

Also, before you do it, you might want to check the following link. It isn't generally a good idea to mix personal and work info on a company owned and provided BB.
