Default Google Sync for BB

Please Login to Remove!

I am using Google Sync on my Blackberry Curve 8900, BIS, on AT&T. When I create an event on my BB, in about 20 minutes, it gets synced automatically to Google Calendar. My Google Sync settings are configured for automatic syncing.

If I create an event, online, using Google calendar, it is not syncying back to the BB. So no 2 way syncing is ocurring, only 1 way, from BB to Google calendar. Any suggestions?

The upcoming BIS 3.0 upgrade is supposed to address Google integration. You might have to wait for the upgrade, whenever that happens.

I hope so.
I quit using Google Sync for Blackberry because of issues just like this.
I like the Google Calendar because my daughter's school posts all events there so that we can add them to our calendar.
But, sync was unreliable, and I quit using it.
Bring on BIS 3!

I wouldn't get too excited. Contacts is suppose to sync with the current version of BIS. I tried it and got 5, 6 or more dups of the same contact on my blackberry and desktop. I quickly disabled it, cleaned up the mess and installed the Google Sync apps which worked flawlessly.

I am certainly not holding my breath
Hopefully Google doesn't forget the rest of us now that they are making their own phones.

Note that events you create on the BB sync within 15 minutes but events you create/change on line can take up to 2 hours. Have you waited this long? I use Google sync and find it as reliable as an Enterprise server, albeit longer sync times.

Ditto,

Just look at there help forums. I had duplicates and several other issues with recurring appts. I am glad it works well for some folks. I didn't like the fact that when you initially sync, anything already on the BB does not get synced. Only new entries. Unless I am missing something. I guess I could wipe calendar, sync Outlook to Google Cal then GC to BB and hope all goes well.

Dupe contacts is a major reason I quit using Google Sync. Just when you think you have the dupe contacts sorted, BAM! They're back, and in force. And Google wants to charge for this?! Hey Google - kiss my ass.
