is it possible to take parts from a cdma sprint curve an use in a gms one...the mic an usb port?

They should be the same.
If you have a 'parts' Blackberry around, it can be good to fix one.

I dont think it has anything to do with being rich.
The only solution is fixing it (difficult), buy a spare battery and charger (pain in the behind) and getting a new Blackberry.
Ebay is a great place to buy phones, I sell all of my old ones there, and have bought there in the past.

Exactly. A decent condition Curve can be had for ~$100 on eBay, and when the cost of lost time trying to fix a broken device is factored in, a new device is less expensive.
