hey!
first of all thanks for this forum it´s really useful for learning how to use better my device.

So.. i have 8900 and bb messenger goes on quite fine on 5.0.7 version downloaded (it was quite hard but following your instructions it was solved)

I have some doubts I didn´t find info in any tutorial, so if you know the answer i´d be thankful or if i can read it in some link i´m thankful too.

So.. the question is
in my contacts... i see a few of them with status (available), some others just the name, not status info..
why is that?
(just curious)

but now here it is the big question.
If i get on a plane, obviously i shut down my bb, so my contacts see me as "offline" (just like a messenger like msn?) or if my phone runs out of batt and shuts down, do they get noticed when they open me a dialog?

If so, this info is uploaded on time?
if not, can i force the refresh for it?

so they can´t send me info if i have my cell shut off?

some other question, if i´m talking on the phone, does my status change, so they see i´m not available at the moment?
(with the older version 4.6 i remember some clock was beside the smiley of the person when they were busy or something, but i don´t know how it works with 5.0)

well i think with the status thing maybe some of your friends just didnt post a status and i think that if your on the phone it will still say avaible and you will just get the messages when you get off the phone. but im not 100% on it so someone else can probably give youa better answer. but this is my intial thoughts

SOS! guys i need all your help. im a new blackberry user. forgive my ignorance but how can i use blackberry messenger?
