Default BB Dialing Problems

Please Login to Remove!

I recently purchased a BB Curve 8900 (unblocked) from India. However when I go to contacts and dial a number it picks up the country prefix for India as +91 and not where I reside in Africa.

I have seen dialing threads and suggestions on this problem on the forum however as it suggests go to Options> Speed dialing - I have no option for speed dialing on my phone.

Also my BB does not recognise my cell number as I get My Number: Unknown Number.

Any ideas on how to fix these problems............

You press the green call button then the menu button and go to options - smart dialling.

If your BlackBerry is showing it as unknown caller, it sounds like you do not have call display. That may be a feature you need to add through your carrier.
