I have a question about sending e-mails via my blackberry.

I have a BB 7230 from t-mobile and have absolutely loved it. One feature that I do not like or atleast have not investigated much was who the e-mails were sent from when sending an e-mail via my blackberry.

For example... say someone e-mails me at . I get it on my blackberry and click reply and when it sends the e-mail to the person it shows up at <--- (or something like that).

Is there anyway where I can choose what the "sending" e-mail address is? So if I want it to show up in someone's e-mail as or or I can select what one I want to choose.

Yes this is easy to configure. Just login to the tmo site when you configure the email and one of the options is to change the send from address to the email address it is sending to as opposed to the tmo one.

I am in my t-mobile blackberry e-mail setup and do not see any options to change the send from address to the e-mail address it is sending.

I have gone into E-mail accounts and clicked "Edit" on many of the e-mail addresses I have in there and all I get are:

Password:
Auto BCC:
Signature

and then under the advanced tab there is:
server:
server type:
port:
timeout:
SSL:


the only thing that is blank is Auto BCC and Signature (I don't even know what BCC is)


Under the "handheld" tab I see "Handheld PIN: <numbers and leters> and "ESN/MEI" which is blank. There is also a button where I can click "Send Service Books"


Under the final part of the settings on my t-mobile blackberry e-mail website ther is options and the only thing listed there is "Time Zone:"


Am I missing something?

It should work on T-Mobile seamlessly. You add email account to your email setup on T-Mobile Web site, someone emails you to that address, when you reply your blackberry is supposed to sign your message with that address, not

You may have to contact customer support, or check your configuration. The only case when it is not supposed to work that I can imagine is when you have something like Google account, and you configured it through Google configuration web page to forward emails to

In that case neither T-Mobile nor Blackberry know any other address of yours, but - and use it to sign replies.

Are you saying that you could not change your sent from address when sending a email from your Blackberry? You are saying that all you sent email would come from your T-Mo email Blackberry address? That would be horrible. If true it would explain why T-Mo Blackberry is cheaper but for the extra money I pay Nextel, I would like to choose my sent from address

You can't read or I can't write.

What I am saying is totally opposite: you should be able to change sent from address when sending an email from your T-Mobile Blackberry. You can choose it to come from any of your email addresses you registered through T-Mobile Web page.

You can only choose between 1 (one) personal and 1 (one) corporate email address on Nextel Blackberry.

You can choose between up to 10 (ten) personal and 1 (one) corporate email address on T-Mobile Blackberry.

You should have a Reply To: field for your tmo.blackberry.net account in Email Accounts. At least, I do...
