Had my BlackBerry 7250 for about 6 months now... love it...


wish I could migrate to the next update and utilize EV-DO but my current IT Policy with my corporate - eh whatever..


So I browse websites when I am bored and what not... I find that websites that have links that when you click them on FireFox... shitty IE if you useit - it opens a seperate box / page. The BlackBerry just reloads the current page and I NEVER can get beyond the next step and have to wait until I get home or to a laptop. Pretty friggn frustrating.



I'll use my business as an example:

Click "Sign Me Up" >>> Then Click "Enroll Now'


I can't access beyond this on the BlackBerry...


Any insight???

Try and get rid of the policy, upgrade the OS then join it back to the BES. This may not fix the browser but it will give you EVDO.

No that wasn't my question. I can't get rid of the IT Policy, as I would never be able to use my corporate email account as I use it. This isn't a personal phone, its a government/corporate phone within a major company "http://www.arinc.com". I'd prolly loose my phone if I ever did anything dumb like that. P.S. I don't pay for my phone OR the service ...anyone else? Any expert help???

Where you are correct that you COULD loose your phone or your job if you are caught tampering with their equipment but I wouldn't be so quick to call my idea "dumb". It is very simple and possible to remove your device from the BES, upgrade the OS then add it back to the BES using Desktop Manager.

Another dumb idea is make sure you have everything Java, scripts and embeded media activated in the options and that is the best you are going to get.

Everything is enabled. I wouldn't have come here and asked unlike other people on here who ask questions without searching first. So tell me more about exporting my IT policy if you know so much about it... Seems dumb to speak of it, yet not explain in detail any info on how ?
