I have a Curve 8300. I was getting an error during synch attempts when synching with the calender (I am using MS Outlook 2007 on XP), so deleted the Calender dates from my blackberry and resynched to MS Outlook. While in the process of synching I am asked to approved changes, to delete over 200 appointments from my MS Outlook. These are the appointments I deleted from my blackberry. I approved the synch and get an error message when trying to synch 8 of 404 that states "The operation terminated unexpectedly".

How do I fix this.

Did you really want to delete those appointments from outlook that you deleted from the blackberry? You could have selected re-sync and then sync outlook -> device.



What you might try at this point is use desktop manager advanced backup/restore to clear the calendar data base on the device, then resync one way from outlook to the blackberry. But before you do that, set the outlook view to a spreadsheet format and scan it for empty rows or odd characters, and clean it up.

OK I did that and it worked, however, I then changed back to a two way synch and it know asked me, again to approve the deletion 338 items from my MS Outlook. If I synched these items in from MS to the device, why does it then ask me to delete it in Outlook when I resynch?

I'm not sure. I have seen similar instances where DM will want to add XXX items and delete XXX items. I've never investigated. I just re-sync and that's been it. I haven't had a situation where DM wants to delete XXX items and I didn't know what it was. All I can advise is compare details on the blackberry and outlook.

You might also cancel the deletion for now, do a backup, copy the pst file to another folder for safety, then repeat and accept the deletion, and see what happens.
