Default Calender Sync between 2 People

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

Me and 1 of my colleagues have a blackberry.

Now From my laptop I would like to be able to update my colleagues diary, and while he is out of the office, this would automatically update in his blackberry, so he could see his up to date diary.

Is there a particular application I should use for this?

Thanks in advance for your help.

By "diary" I assume you mean his day-to-day appointments in his calender -- or do you mean something else. A To Do list, for example?

If you mean a calender, then if your firm has BES installed as long as you have access to his calender you could make changes that would be reflected on his BB's calender.

If you mean To Dos and you have BES, the same thing applies. Access his Outlook To Do list, make the changes, and they will be synced up.

If you mean To Dos and you do not have BES, then look at a product like ToDoMatrix. It is a decent BlackBerry application with a rudimentary web-based application that you can access from the PC. This might work for you.

Or if you are interested in a calendar sync, you might look into Google Calendar Sync.

Mama,
Can another user access Google Calendar? It sounds like he wants to automatically and remotely update another users calendar. If so thatxxx8217;s a good option.

In Google Calendar, you can "subscribe" to other people's calendars in your own, then sync your calender with the BB. So a 2nd user could subscribe to someone's calendar where they update things. However if the person updated something on the BB, it would just be on their calendar and not make it back to the first.

If someone has PC access to someone else's Google Calendar, then of course there are no problems maintaining it both ways.

Yeah, plus I would think that you would set it up so that both users are accessing the same calendar with the same address.
