Question Replacement SIM

This might sound like a dumb question -
I have an 8520. Vodafone have sent me a replacement SIM, as the existing one is several years old. They have advised that I back-up my BB, which I have done. However, before I set about replacing the SIM, I want to be sure that my E-mail settings are not lost or corrupted.
Does anyone have a similar experience they can share, please? Thanks. RGM

Replacing a SIM card has no effect on any BlackBerry settings.
It just needs to be provisioned with your phone number and BlackBerry Data Plan.
