Default Some HTML messages appear blank

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys,

I have tried searching for an answer but can't come up with anything. We have about 25 Blackberry 7250's here at the office and I am having a problem with incoming HTML messages. Certain HTML messages that come in are viewable on the Blackberries while others are blank or empty. FWIW, we run our own BES server for GroupWise in house. Any clues on what might be causing this?

Thanks

I've seen this problem with multipart/mixed messages - which BlackBerry doesn't support. AFAIK there is no way around this, except to not send messages as multipart/mixed (disable HTML messages in Outlook, or don't use embedded images).

Indeed one of the messages that we consistently have appearing blank on the Blackberries shows this in the headers:

Content-Type: multipart/related;
boundary="----=_NextPart_581_25de_0d3b46f2.bd3e1777_.REL"

So according to your message we will just have to live with that which is fine so long as I have an explanation for it.

However, one of the other messages that consistently appears blank has this in the headers:

content-type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1"

So it doesn't appear this one is multipart. I wonder why this one appears empty?

Thanks for your time.

I've been having this problem as well, it's really weird. The blackberry received an email which appears blank, it can be forwarded to me (reading in outlook) and I can ready it. Another weird thing, if some text is added to the blank message on the blackberry I can't read it in outlook, but I can read the message which the blackberry can't (sounds confusing, I know).

There's got to be a software update or something around that can help? It's impossible to stop people sending HTML or mixed type emails, we send them out outselves. Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks for your help,
Dan
