I am a new Blackberry Bold 9700 user based in Toledo Ohio, USA and will be traveling internationally. Can anyone give me advice on which service provider is best for both voice and data. AT&T or Verizon?

Welcome to BB Forums.

Verizon doesn't support the 9700. The closest they have is the Tour 9630.

Internationally where specifically?

And are you aware that you cannot use a Bold 9700 on Verizon?

No specific countries. The international travel would be quite widespread. In order of probable frequency Western Europe, South America, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Africa and Mid East.

No I was not aware that you can't use Verizon on the 9700. I actually have not yet purchased one. I know I want the Blackberry Bold but beyond that I am concerned about getting the best service provider for international travel needs.

If you want the 9700, I suggest T-Mobile USA. They have the best international roaming rates by far.

TMO may have the best rates, but does it have coverage where the OP will use the phone. A cheap plan is too expensive if the user has no signal where they need it.
