i just recently got a blackberry bold 9000 with rogers, but i'm with telus.. can i get a legit link on how to unlock it, i don't know if it is unlocked because when i go to sim card in options it's blank. And is there any way i can get bbm, wifi, and instant messaging on pay as you go? what are the limits on pay as you go with a blackberry? need feedback asap, thanks.

To see if you need to unlock your phone, go to Options>Advanced>Sim Card. If it says "active at the top by SIM card security, then your device is locked. If it says disabled or inactive then it's already unlocked.

The link and information daphne provided you was very helpful if you need to unlock your phone. You can't do it yourself, you need to use a 3rd party service such as Horizon or your carrrier (as in the case of Tmobile) to help you unlock it.

Regarding the pay as you go services, I'm not sure because I don't use Telus and am not familiar with their plans. If this is truly an urgent matter as you claim, I think your best option is to give your carrier a call.

As for your behavior and attitude towards the other members of the forum, I hope that's something you'll consider working on improving. Unfortunately that's not something you can search for.

It's unfortunate that you don't realize that you ARE being rude. And lazy. By fully admitting that you refuse to search because it's easier for you do just ask questions and have others do your research is incredibly rude and and self-centered.

That's not what the forums are about. And posting with swear words is completely unacceptable.

Hopefully, if you want to continue as a member of the community, you will re-evaluate your approach.

This is what happens when children get BlackBerrys. Everything has been spoon fed to them their entire lives - yes, my kids included. Rather than look it up or do it themselves, they yell "MOM" or "DAD" and all of a sudden their every wish is taken care of.

NJ don't worry. I think of it as job security for us baby boomers since the gen whatever-they-ares are too lazy to actually learn how to do things. We'll be able to work as long as we want without worrying about the youngsters taking our jobs away.
