Default QWERTY Keyboard Tips

I was just wondering if anyone has any tips on how to better myself on this keyboard.
I came from an 8100, and I am having problems getting it right. It may well be an adjustment issue, but if anyone has any helpful hints as how to better myself with it, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks JS. I read that before, but had forgotten about it. I'll head back that way.
I was mostly trying to find out though if anyone had found different approaches other than what's generally known or printed. You know how when you have been doing something for awhile, then you come across a better or different way to do it that fits your needs more appropriately? That's what I'm hoping to find out. I just want to be as efficient a possible with my 8900, though I also realize that time will be the best teacher.

My bad. I should have made my question more clear.
My typing is horrible on this keyboard. I'm looking for help in becoming a better typist on it, not the shortcuts. I find myself correcting words every few seconds. One of my problems I found was that my thumbs were crossing to both sides of the keyboard instead of staying on their side.
Things like this are what I'm looking for. Sorry for the confusion on my part.
