My gf's brother and I installed Buddyguard on our Bolds.
Sent a location request from my email to his, and got a reply. But from then on I can't send him emails and also cant email to my own address either!!!
Totally stitched up, any ideas!
Sounds like your BlackBerry has gotten into some form of bad state. Here's a recommended starting point:
1) Pull the battery for a minute, then reinsert it and try again. Over time, the memory in BBs can become fragmented or reduced due to memory leaks. Pulling the battery clears those problems.
2) Verify that the permissions for BuddyGuard are all set to Allow. While it's unlikely the permissions are causing a problem in this case, it's always a good double check when you encounter problems.
3) As aiharkness mentioned, resend your Service Books. The description of your problem would be consistent with your Service Books needing to be updated. You can do this from your BlackBerry by opening Setup > Setup Wizard > Email Setup. Select "I want to create or add an email address", then click Next, then Next again. On the web page that is opened click the Help link, which will then open another page that contains the "Send Service Books" link. (Note: this procedure can vary depending on the device and OS). You can also log into your BIS account from your PC to resend your Service Books.
