Default BB deletes older Outlook calendar entries?

Please Login to Remove!

BB Curve 8530 V5.0.0.337 Platform Cross-graded from Palm and Windows Mobile. I understand that the BB will delete older calendar entries on the handheld, which is OK, but is it also true synchronization will then delete those older entries from Outlook on the desktop too?

Will the new Desktop and BB software prevent BB sync from deleting Outlook calendar entries when the BB purges them from the handheld?

I picked the BB calendar option "Forever" while sorting this out, but I understand the downside of that approach is pushing the BB's memory.

If you have your BB set to keep calendar entries only 30 or 60 days, once they're deleted the deletion will carry through to Outlook when you sync.

Calendar entries take up very little memory, but after several years it can add up. At some point you should clean up Outlook. The BB takes care of itself when you sweep out the old calendar entries in Outlook.
