Default One Touch Dial

On a 7290 series is there a one touch dial feature for the phone as exists on other cell phones?
I'm still in the 7230 world but two friends have the new cingular 32mb device and are looking for that feature...i did a "one touch dial" search but found nothing so here goes the post, and my flame suit is on...

In the homescreen, if you hold down a letter, it will call a speed dial # (if already assigned) or it will ask you if you want to create a speed dial entry.

no flame-retardant material required

Actually, this also works from the messages screen. If you press and immediately release a letter, it performs the default behavior (e.g. tap 'p' and see your phone messages, etc.) But if you press and hold a letter, it will automatically jump to the phone and dial the speed dial number. Very cool!
