Default Please help, my email accounts have disappeared!

I am going crazy and hope you can help!

I have four email accounts on my blackberry. Still all registered, but the actual accounts have disappeared from my device (an 8900) so it is not receiving any emails now - it flashes and the number goes up on the home screen, but I can't see them! I can't set them up again because it says they're already there, but they're not! I thought it was time for a new blackberry, but when I tried to 'change device' on the blackberry site, it wouldn't accept the new device's pin or imei. A blackberry with no email is like an ipod with no music! HELP! (PLEASE!)

What do you mean the number keeps going up but they're not there?

Are you missing the folders? What if you look in the Messages folder? What is listed there?

Have you resent the service books?

If you switched devices, the email will still be sent to the previous device. They will not be sent to the new device until you make the changes.

Hi jsconyers

There's nothing in my messages folder except facebook notifications, and the email account icons have disappeared. The little home page messages symbol is there and indicating over 1,000 emails, but I can't find them, see them or read them. I can't register the new device so I am well and truly stumped this evening. What are service books and where do I find them? Thanks so much for your help.

Log into your BIS account.

Go to Help, click Service Books. It will send the service books to your account.

However, if your previous devices is associated with your BIS account, then the service books will be pushed to that device.

Where did you get the new device? What happens when you try to switch devices?

Do you still have the previous device?

This is on the old device - I couldn't register the new device so completely gave up with it. Thanks for your patience, but sending the service books didn't help and now the 'new email' tally is at 3064 - it's gone totally mad. What a nightmare! Thanks again

The recorded message has been on 'bear with us, we're very busy' all day! I think I am stuck up the river without a paddle here. Just to re-iterate, I only tried the new device because the old one was dying, but haven't persevered with it beyond trying to register it as a new device

Just got an error message 'Uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException' Does this mean it is DEAD?!

Sorry - I got the new device from my service provider some time ago and it has been sitting in my office in its box waiting until someone needed it - like now!!

So, it has never been registered to another user, or another BIS account?

What I would try doing is using the switch device wizard from the old device to the new device and then log into the BIS account. It should prompt you if you want to change devices at that point.
