Exclamation Ho! Ho! Ho! Free Sh*t From RIM

Please Login to Remove!

If you surf on over to http://mobile.blackberry.net/ on your BB, you see that for the holidays, RIM is giving away free stuff. Free Magmic games (including Texas Hold 'Em, etc.), free polyphonic ringtones, and free themes for 4.1 devices.

Where is Texas Hold 'Em for free?

I only see:

Meteor Crusher
Circle Popper
Rooster
Raging Rivers
Bass Assassin
Spider Solitaire
Klondike

Edit - just found it in the other download area.

It's always useful to bump up popular tips once now and then - like BlackBerry FAQ entries, or the mobile.blackberry.com website. Making them "Featured Tips" once now and then to make sure more users see them

Sure, that's exactly where I downloaded it from.

As soon as I launch it I get a message telling me it's a trial version and it'll expire in x days.

There are two versions the regular which is free, I downloaded it and have been playing it for close to six months with no problems at all, the Texas Hold 'Em2 is for sale and all you can download is a trial version. I have also heard of people that downloaded the regular version and downloaded the 2 version later, it installs over the first and they can never re-run the first.

When I get to the site, I see a "What's New" headline at the top. That paragraph tells me they want to give me some holiday goodies. The three options are "New games..." "Themes for..." and "Holiday Ringtones."

Clicking those links takes you to free stuff.

It looks like you're skipping all that stuff at the top of the main page and scrolling all the way down to the download link.

I just went there. Texas Hold'Em King isn't a Magmic game, I think is your issue.

I didn't go to the Downloads link. Instead, the first link at the page is "New games for 3.8 and higher colour devices". When I click that, I get a Term & Conditions page, which I have to accept in order to proceed. And from there, I get to a GAMES page where Texas Hold'em King is the fourth option in the list, under MeteorCrusher, CirclePopper, and Rooster.

That's how I got it.

The only games I see listed there are:

Free Games
Meteor Crusher
Circle Popper
Rooster
Raging Rivers
Bass Assassin
Spider Solitaire
Klondike

I don't understand why it's available to everyone else but doesn't appear for me.

Oh well.

I just came from downloading it again it is still there, I have a feeling that since it is in the 3.8 OS section that it is a question of operating systems and that it hides itself from ones you cannot use it with.
