Is there a way to request a read receipt when sending email? The option of setting importance is there, shouldn't this also?

There is no option, similiar to the importance setting, that allows you to request a read receipt when sending from the BB that I know of. If you happen to be sending the message to another BlackBerry device you can put <confirm> in the subject line. This will automatically cause the BlackBerry that receives the email to respond with a return receipt. The <confirm> is only recognized by BlackBerry devices and will be ignored by other email clients.
