Default Blackberry showing emails as unread when I've already read them on my computer?

Please Login to Remove!

If I read new emails on my computer before my Blackberry, they'll obviously switch to 'read' on my email account, but they stay as 'unread' on my Blackberry, meaning I have to read them all *again* to clear the new emails icon off my Blackberry screen... which is a little bit annoying.

Is there any way to force my Blackberry to check if emails are still 'unread' periodically, or some other solution?

If you are on BES, then email should sync. Contact your BES Admin.

If you are using BIS, then email does not sync and is working as it is supposed to work.

The only solution that I am aware of is move to a corporate BES or hosted BES solution (exchangemymail is one).

Actually, you could scroll to a date in your list of emails (such as yesterday's date). Menu / Mark Prior Opened. This will mark all as read on the BB without having to open each message.
