Exclamation Synchronization Issue

Please Login to Remove!

I recently moved my BES to a new server. I have mail running to the Blackberry devices. Calendar and Contacts are updated to the device too. The problem comes when a user makes a change on their device, it's not being updated back to their Outlook account. This is for scheduling as well as email. Any thoughts?

Did you give the BES admin user rights (administer/send as/receive as) on the new information store/server?

Ah, I misread your original post, sorry. I thought you had a new *Exchange* server.

It still sounds like a rights issue though -- BES can't update Exchange. I'd go into the System Manager and double-check the rights once more.

There was a version that was recommended by RIM. But the version on the Exchange Server is newer, so I renamed the old one and copied the new ones down. I'm trying to figure out how to register them now.

I did the CDO.DLL, but it won't register MAPI32.DLL. That matter?

What exchange service pack is your exchange server running?

RIM does not support sp2. The sp1 cdo.dll version is 6.5.7226.0

The cdo.dll should also be in both the windows\system32 folder and exchsrv\bin folder of your bes server.

Whenever I send a calendar event, I get the error in the logs, "You do not have permission to logon". The BESAdmin account has send as and receive as rights. What am I missing?

I am running SP 2 on Exchange and I pulled the CDO and MAPI dll from there.

Make sure it has propagated down to the mailbox level in System Manager. And don't forget the "Administer Store" permission too.

Yeah, all of the permissions have been inherited down to the mailbox and public store level.
