Default 24hours on from joining the BB world...

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

Joined the BB world yesterday lunchtime after moving from the iPhone to a 9700 Bold.

I'm in I.T. professionally and a bit of a "phone geek" so I've spent the last 24 hours playing with the handset, this is what I have done so far, anyone else have any good recommendations of apps or tips? Not necessarilly 9700 specific. Just looking to make the most of my BB.

So far from App World I have installed the following :

Facebook
Twitter
Windows Live Messenger
Nimbuzz
Paypal
LinkedIn

Also :

Opera Mini
Google Mobile App + Google Maps

Anything I missed? I did notice a quirk with Google Maps where the phone deined it access to Cross Application Permissions but I sorted that by going into the default permissions and changing it to Deny, then back to Allow and saving it.

Cheers

Paul.

MaraTick for shopping lists. Free and simple.
Viigo for RSS news feeds. Free and simple.

I also highly recommend the REXwireless products like ToDoMatrix and IdeaMatrix. They're expensive but powerful apps for professionals. Additionally, there is a free white paper on the site called BlackBerry Task Management Best Practices (lower right hand corner of the ToDoMatrix area) that everyone should read, whether they get the Rex products or not.

Are you a sports person? ScoreMobile

You might also like Beejive. This costs money, but it is AIM, Facebook IM, Google Talk, ICQ, Jabber, Windows Live, MySpace IM, and Yahoo all in one App.

If you're an IT Professional then you'll want to search for
SSH apps (VPN Apps are currently scarce, I think).
Bolt Browser v1.7 (currently Best Mobile Browser; until RIM updates theirs)
Rove Mobile (Desktop, Server, Exchange remote administration)
etc.
