I live in china now and do not own a blackberry yet as i am trying to learn:

1. if there is a service in china, or do i have to subscribe to an outside serivce.

2. can i use my local china sim card for voice only. and subscribe to a service for email seperately.

my knowledge on these things is sub-begineers level

Wirelessly posted (your electric?: BlackBerry7100i/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/103 UP.Browser/ UP.Link/

I know HK has 3, if they are in china then you are in luck, since they provide bb service. Also you could not have voice from service and data from another. Reason being is the device would technicall be already active on another service. pink
