| Password Keeper problem Please Login to Remove! Background: I'm new to the Blackberry world but I'm fairly technical. When I came in this morning the owner of my company asked me if I could help him get his password keeper open. Here's what happened based on what he can remember (it's been about 2 months)...
He was texting back and forth with someone in an area with bad reception so he put the phone by the window for better signal. He got distracted (land line phone call or something) and when he turned back to get his Bold it was on some kind of a restore screen (he said it does this same thing anytime he takes the battery out). Not sure why the restore (reindexing) screen came up but he said it stalled out about 3/4 of the way through. He pulled the battery out to get it to reset it again but it stopped 3/4 of the way through again. Around this same time he got a MacBook Pro and started taking backups on the Mac so he restored from one of his MacBook backups. After doing the restore the Password Keeper application was missing from the Apps folder. He was able to get Password Keeper reloaded but was unable to restore the PK database so he could open it. We just restored the phone from a backup using Desktop Manager but PK continues to say his main password is wrong. We're on 9/10 now and he's sure the password he is giving is correct. Is there a way to do a complete reset of the device and then reload from a backup? |
