Default Odd problem with 9700

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

This is a ridiculous problem.

'A' calls me and after talking we hang up.

The next call thereafter, when 'B' calls me, the odd thing is that photo of 'B' will display with name and number of 'A' After hanging up, in the call log it will show all correct details of 'B'

Please help!

Thanks.

Are you running the latest OS for the device? This sounds like a bug, also do you have multiple address books on the device?

Try a battery pull. That is *the* first trouble-shooting step.

With the power on, remove the battery for 30-60 seconds.

You don't have any apps running that may interfere with anything do you?

Also do you have the contacts on the device or sim card or both?

Have been told to update the software/firmware using Desktop Manager.

Have you tried the battery pull suggested earlier first? That really is the definitive first step in troubleshooting a Blackberry and definitely should be tried before deciding you need to update the OS.

Who told you to update? Instructions can be found in sticky at top of 9700 series forum.
