Default Email Reconciliation problem

Please Login to Remove!

BES 4 w sp3 and HF#1 & 2 installed.
We have just noticed that when an email is deleted on the BB it never gets deleted in Outlook even after multiple reconciles or even waiting overnite.
If email is deleted in Outlook it does delete on the BB...
Have anyone experienced this? We think it may be related to when the Hot Fixes were applied, but we cannot be sure....
This is happening on multiple units, different models and different services (tmo or cingular)
Otherwise everything appears to be working properly.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated
thanks

I would double-check that the BlackBerries experiencing the issue are set to delete on Mailbox and Handheld. Maybe also try hard resetting the devices and regenerating the encryption key.

definitely check the settings...messages, options, email reconcilation...make sure that this is handheld & mailbox

with things that are done in outlook, my experience is that it will mark the emails read on the BB after 10 minutes or so, but it won't actually delete the emails until you leash the BB to the computer or laptop that has the outlook. Just need to check the intelisync options and make sure that email reconcilation is marked off there...

Thanks...I will double check that...but as far as I know no one has changed their settings...most wouldn't even know how...
I never had to plug it in to get it to delete before...

Email reconciliation has definitely changed on multiple handhelds...not sure how..there are no policies as far as I know...
Set it back to handheld and mailbox...seems to be working, but will have to keep an eye to see if it changes again!
thanks

More info...I have narrowed this down to 2 users who have had the policy change...
Looking at the BES, I noticed these 2 users show error under the IT Policy column...all other users say successfully applied...
I tried to resend the Service book, but that did not appear to work and still shows Error.
Does anyone know what is causing this and how to clear it?
thanks

Hey Herb,

I would delete the 2 users in question out of the Bes, then re-add them. I saw this happen with a couple of end yours on or last push. I also noticed from an enter user stand point with the device, messages, options, email reconciliation. I changed to Prompt. And after you delete an email on the device, then go to messages, click the track wheel in and scroll to reconcile now and click that, sometimes you need to do that twice and the outlook then reflects the change.

I hope that helps.....
